IOS development using OSX and XCode

Hello all:
I am getting into IOS development with XCode and I had a couple of questions.
1) I was able to run my app on the IPhone, but I don't seem to be able to stop it short of closing it with app switcher. Is there a better way to stop?
2) I can find the storyboard, but I am having issues jumping to the interface builder. Any tips and tricks here?
3) Finally any tips and tricks for jumping around would be awesome. I seem to be having issues opening a file in the editor to edit.
